No Dig Alliance has acquired the Finnish company Nordbos Oy and will merge it with its existing Finnish subsidiary Savon Suuntaporaus Oy. The new entity will operate under the name Riggtech Finland Oy, becoming part of the leading Riggtech brand in directional drilling technology. Pietari Viitanen, former CEO of Nordbos Oy, has been appointed as the new CEO of Riggtech Finland Oy.
– We are thrilled to become part of the Riggtech family. The brand is widely recognized in Sweden and Norway for its professional and reliable operations, says Pietari Viitanen, newly appointed CEO of Riggtech Finland Oy.
The merger brings together two experienced players in the Finnish trenchless technology sector and marks a strategic expansion of Riggtech’s operations in the Nordic region. With extensive industry experience and a wide range of drilling equipment, the new company will be well positioned to support both domestic and cross-border infrastructure projects.
Pietari Viitanen emphasizes the importance of regional collaboration and operational efficiency as key to success in the field of directional drilling:
– One of the greatest advantages of becoming part of Riggtech is the ability to increase utilization of our equipment across borders. Sharing resources between countries gives us a stronger foundation for growth, he says.
The combined operations of Nordbos Oy and Savon Suuntaporaus Oy will now operate fully under the Riggtech name—Sweden’s leading specialist in directional drilling technology. Since its foundation in 2010, Riggtech has grown steadily and today has a strong presence in both Sweden and Norway.
– We see tremendous potential in bringing the technical expertise and local knowledge of Nordbos and Savon Suuntaporaus into the combined Riggtech offer, says Johan Lundqvist, CEO of Riggtech.
– Through this merger and the establishment of Riggtech Finland, we are reinforcing our commitment to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-performance No Dig solutions throughout the Nordic region.
